Sixth of the seven summits

Categories: Blog

After our flight to Antarctica on the 7th of December we had good weather for our climb. We moved up the mountain quickly and already got to try for the summit on the 14th of December.
I could not have asked for a better summit day, and I was standing on the summit at 8pm. Dave Hahn and Ben Kurdt were the perfect guides for this summit day and we had such a great time for over an hour on the summit. We were down at high camp by 11pm and stayed there for the night.
In base camp we got hit by a storm and had to wait for our Twin Otter pick up for 6 days. Then we got hit by another storm in Patriot Hills and had to stay there for another 6 days. So we got to experience a real Antarctic Christmas in Patriot Hills. Overall , it was a great expedition and I am so pleased to have met some great people and also to have decided to be guided by such a good company , IMG. Special thanks to Dave Hahn and Ben Kurdt 🙂
